Dagmar has been working in the helping professions and counseling clients since 2012. She believes that therapy opens the way to personal growth, change and a deeper understanding of self. Her work is based on a holistic approach that sees a person as part of a wider system and emphasizes the connection between mental and physical health. She works with adult and adolescent clients from the age of 12 and provides individual and couples therapy. In her work, she builds on a non-judgmental and friendly approach to clients. She perceives the unconditional acceptance of all aspects of a client's life and personality as the base of her counseling work. She sees the meaning in self-development and in an active approach to understand the world around her and the people in it. Everyone can find themselves in a difficult life situation; however, it is not necessary to remain alone. An active approach and an effort to change is the beginning of every successful journey. She supports her clients dealing with various issues such as: anxiety, panic attacks, depression, stress, self-harm, suicidal thoughts, relationship and couples’ issues, adolescents’ issues, elderly issues, personal development, burnout syndrome, domestic violence, social phobia, difficulties with conception, support after miscarriage or loss of a child, dying and illness, mental hygiene and a healthy lifestyle. She is inspired by the progress of her clients, their courage to dive into their topics to the fullest. She consults in Czech.
Dagmar received her Master’s Degree in Social Policy and Social Work at the Faculty of Arts of Charles University in Prague. She completed various trainings: Comprehensive Crisis Intervention, Mediation, Family Mediation, Psychosocial Training, Working with Clients with Alzheimer's Disease and Dementia and Relationship Bonding. She worked with various target groups in different types of institutions, which gave her the opportunity to see the diversity and complexity of human life. Dagmar worked in the Crisis Intervention Center, Mental Disabilities Home, Home for the elderly, Home with special needs cases, as well as providing foster family care, home care, and also as a lecturer.
